I got stuck for this. Because the only sport awards that popped into my mind were those I won 12 years ago! I was pretty active back in my secondary school days, joined any event that I thought I sanggup. So, I have medals for pingpong, volleyball and basketball (now please do not simply assume that I’m good in playing in those sports ya).

Then… I finally thought of something.

I did, sort of contributed to the recent award won by our school earlier this year!

Our school won the first place for the PIBG sports day in April.

Teamwork.

Because Thanis always said that I’m the “source” of KB/Seria good food, finding hidden gems that only local (as in Belait) people know, so it kind of motivated me to do this post. Or maybe more, next time.

When we (my colleagues and I) are a little tight in our lunch budgets, yet wanted varieties, we’ll go for Marilyn Cake House. Located along Jalan Pretty, just next to Nanyang… a gift shop that you must totally go if you’re in KB btw.

What’s good in Marilyn? Marilyn used to be a bakery and just recently (in 2003) expanded to café so don’t be surprise if you see shelves and shelves of bread loaf, along with other pastries.

And we what always ordered…

Beef lagsane, $3.80

Mi Goreng special, as in INDOMIE! The waitress will asked if you want one packet or two packets.
$2.50 for the above one, one packet.


Onion Rings, $1.80

Beef Burger, $3.50


Poutine, $3

Now.. this is something most of you should order because I don’t see much restaurant selling poutine.

If you don’t know what poutine is, Poutine is a dish consisting of French fries topped with fresh cheese curds, covered with brown gravy or sauce and sometimes additional ingredients.

I didn’t order Plum Soda that day but that’s my favorite drink in Marilyn. If you know me, you’ll know that I seldom order cold drinks but for Plum Soda, I WILL! MUST ORDER PLUM SODA!

Taiwan, which I became this hardworking blogger and blogged every single little details I remembered about the trip because it’s by far, my favorite. With 3 of my favorite people in the world, family, lover and a friend.

My wish is, travel to at least one new place/country every year.

Back when everyone was thinner and center-parting hair was the “in” thing.

The two new things on my table, Green Tea & Lemon Body, Room & Linen Spritz and Japanese Cherry Blossom Puree Body Lotion. Totally it!

Without a doubt, pigs.

(sorry my dear Muslim friends…. don’t get offended ya)

Because I was born in the year of boar and I think pigs (plushies, cartoons, and only certain real life pet pigs  and not wild boar) are cute!

And…

1. Pigs are very intelligent and learn very quickly. They are the fourth smartest animals (humans are first, primates are second, dolphins/whales are third and pigs are fourth).

p/s: Next time cannot say people stupid like pig okay.

2. Pigs are some of the cleanest animals around, refusing to mess anywhere near their living or eating areas when given a choice.

3. Pigs can not sweat because they have no sweat glands. They roll around in the mud to cool their skins.

Nah, cannot blame them for liking to roll in mud one.
