Paintballing

 01

I know, I look cute in cover-all kan?

Finally got the chance to experience paintballing (yesterday)! It could have happened 2,3 years ago but don’t know it’s us bring-sai or what, just one day before our appointment with deposit all paid and stuffs, the *ahhem* illegal paintball place in Muara was closed down.

Most of my friends had tried it already and from their past experiences, they all advised me to wear something thick and get as much coverage as possible. What better than COVER (it) ALL kan!

Furthermore, it’s an outdoor field, SAY NO TO OVEREXPOSURE TO UV RADIATIONS!

02

It was also my very first time wearing a cover-all. Totally HOT (and) STUFFy! I pity those (females only) who need to wear cover-all to work, needing to wear extra inside and… damn inconvenient when you need to take a leak or dump.

Anyways, I thought of Phua Chu Kang when I wore those on and asked Bobby to take a snap of me while asking my silly friends what’s PCK’s signature pose and they told me “bicycle pose”. Hence, a photo of me riding an imaginary bicycle.

I thought I looked quite cool macam hip-hop rapper though.

Yo ma ma, yo pa pa, check it in, check it out, kua-tio-gui, NOW!
yo baby, put your hands in there air, yo yo yo, yippee ya ya yippee yippee ya!

The game was pretty good and I was lucky enough to pop my paintball cherry with a bunch of “gentle” playmates and not those gila mental one who screams, shouts and curses if kalah.

As for us, or maybe it’s only me, I’ll be really happy if I get to shoot someone, but if I kana shoot, never mind also. Just a game mah, why so serious? *cue Joker’s looks, eyes squinting, greasy hair and do that ‘jiap-jiap-jiap’ sound*

And every time we finished a set, I’ll try to walk as fast as I could to get out the field and first thing first, TAKE OFF THAT BLOODY STINKY MASK! Wah seh, spray what also no use, want to die ahhhhh…

Next, compared each other’s result, pin-point kana shoot where and by who and laughed. It was fun, really.

As for my ankle, I was able to run and I bought an ankle-support to minimize the chances of me spraining it again.

Oh ya, I got butt-shot. Twice. Same place.
Stupid Bobby said it was easier to spot my butt than my body. Cilaka.
But good also lah, lucky I have a meaty butt with tebal skin, there was no blue-black and no “moons” on my body also. Hehehhee. Lucky me.

Moons – in DoraMabel’s dictionary - bruises caused by paintball. First in crescent shape when just kana, then one day later, spread until round round fat fat like a full moon.

so… what’s next?

I was clearing up my drawers and found stacks of old photos. Such cheerful celebration when everyone was thinner and younger. Padahal.. those photos were only taken 2 years ago. Went through those photos and sighed how much we missed the celebrations with familiar faces and how poor we take control of our weight.

and… I’m still waiting for the clarification. There’s just so many different versions of interpretation about the new leave rules and it kinda worries me. Super no mood to plan for the upcoming trip in September now.

Updates on my (sprained) ankle.
I can walk a lot better now. The pain not that jialat anymore and imagine the horror driving a manual car. And, it’s the left ankle that I sprained! Had to press the clutch really slowly every time I changed the gear and avoid all possible twisting to cause me pain.

and for the holiday…. i’m going to
- clean up my table
- get a bigger box for my erasers collection
- get new tyres for Corrie
- maybe new pair of glasses for myself
- get the credit card thingie settled (blesses with low credit limit. Hehhehe. Phew)
- I don’t know, start hitting the gym?
- definitely try to blog more!
- but, no promise…

ta.

I’m a pogo stick

Those who follows me on twitter or read your news feed in FB should know that I damn hero sprained my ankle this morning, while playing netball with the students.

And this,

  P1080992
is how my FAT & Beautiful left foot looks like now~
just nice enough to make braised pig trotter what the falalala-lalalala~

Just 2 years ago, also at school, I sprained my right ankle.

How great…

When I sprained my ankle this morning, I thought to myself thinking it was also my left ankle that I sprained… maybe it’s true that repeated sprains in the same joint make the joint less stable and more prone to future sprains (from here).

And now I know I sprained both ankles before… yeah! time for celebration, not!

The mahal part was,
when I was resting my foot after dragging myself out of the court, my gb (guru besar (for non-teachers) and it’s obviously not a jargon) came to me and said,

“This shows…. you gained weight”

Just what I need to hear when I was in pain. Ouch me very much.
(Oh, it’s okay, I’m sure he’s just joking. *COUGH VERY LOUD*)

As for the netball match (final), we got the second place.

Our opponent was a really strong team who trashed other teams with scores like 21:0 and we only lost by 1 point with dignity! *proud*

Shirl.. that’s an awkward pose you got there…

Anyways, back to my sprained ankle…
I’m hopping around the house like a pogo stick and trying to rest on bed as much as I can, which I always do anyway.

Pray that this Sunday I’ll be fit to run this Sunday for paintball!
Eeeehaaaawwwww!

p/s: When I asked if Bobby wanna join the paintball game, he answered..

“I’ll join! It’s not like I get to aim and shoot you everyday!!”

Uh-uh…. I sense “revenge”.

what’s essencial in a girl’s bag?

Note: This is not a sponsored advertorial!
I’m blogging this just because I love the product and *cough* I wouldn’t mind if the owner of Aku Suka gives me discount next time. LOL.

I’ve always love bigger bags so I can dump everything inside and I believe most girls do the same too. Everything seems fine except when you’re in a hurry to get something out from your bag….

like…

when your phone is ringing, when you just spill your drink and need tissues, when you need to get back into your house to get something and time is running out, when… you should get the idea now anyways.

Sometimes due to my impatience, I just feel like upside-down my bag and dump everything on the floor/table. But of course, I’m not going to cause a scene like that. I’m a *somewhat* sensible adult mah…. (but still a kid inside) Hahhahaaa.

Inside my bag…

P1080974
No order and no arrangement. Just like those meat in the wanton.

And because of that, the side view of my bags when zipped looks like this…

P1080976
… in a weird triangular shape because everything just lies on the base.

Stuffs in my bag…

P1080979

Phone, camera, wallet, key pouch, organizer, pencil case, tissues, bank-bag, the cute cute strawberry shopping bag and some erasers 48 bought me from kangarooland. Oh oh, the one in purple is an electronic eraser! Very cali, will blog it some other day~

Oh yeah, that’s what you can find in a girl’s bag… no make-up stuffs as I don’t put on powder to work.

Then, came a mighty product!

AKU SUKA NO MESS POCKETS!

Sounds like some Doraemon’s gadgets!
Teng teng teng teng, Pintu Sesuka Hati!

P1080981

This is mine, size M, Tropical stripes.

P1080982

And this is what I get from the FB page.

P1080983

And this is how I arranged mine.

P1080987

Balabing, balabong, bala blast off!
It’s genius!

Now, I just hope I won’t get back to my old self dumping everything in the bag without using the pockets.

Oh ya, did I mention how easy is transferring bags now?
You know lah, we girls need to carry different bags at different time and bag transferring is such a hassle. These no mess pockets should do the trick for now.

muah!

i iz can cook lasasgna

I’m often caught in dilemma whenever Bobby comes to Seria..

I’ll want to cook something for him and hence he can bring back the extras to his family in BSB in order to collect the “hor-sim-pu” (good daughter-in-law – in hokkien) points. And also his nods and smiles when he takes the first bite off my creation is definitely worth the sweat and work.

*cue Awwwwwwwwww*

But then, I wish he can get rid of his his now-super-obvious-not-so-little-Nonnie (referring to his tummy, if you have no idea what I’m talking about)!

Anyways, I gave in this time….

P1080934

LASAGNA!

There’s seriously nothing difficult about this dish.
For me, the trickiest part would be making the cream sauce.

Well, I’m a super suka-hati chef who doesn’t like to follow measurements (more like lazy actually) and all I need to do each time I cook, is to read through the recipe, know the main ingredients and steps. That’s it.

(And, that’s the reason why I’m not into baking cakes, cookies or that sort of food. Because those food needs precise measurements! You know, like 3oz of xxxx, 5 teaspoons of xxxx… very mafan. I love cooking filling foods!)

 P1080936

Okay, it might not look very appetizing in the above photo but, Mrs. Lim (Bobby’s mom, me nochet) said it tasted like those in Pizza Hut and I took it as a compliment!

Baby, can I take back my words that I said I’ll cook you desserts during your next visit? There’s nothing in the internet I want to cook… as you know, I’m not much of a sweet tooth.

Can I cook Curry Chicken? Or maybe some (chicken & mushroom) pies? Have to “kai-zhang” the pie-maker 48 lugged all the way back from kangaroo-land what~

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…..

The rest of our trip in 2009

There, finally imma blog the rest of the HCMC + KL trip!
One go okay… actually, that’s because there’s not much photos taken when I was in KL. Hehhehee

01
Early breakfast in Yen Trang hotel’s lobby while waiting for our taxi to arrive.

02
Honestly, if cup noodles is not unhealthy.. I’ll wanna eat them everyday and slurp those soup to the very last drip! Was so tempted to answer “My favorite food is INSTANT NOODLES!” whenever people asked me that question. But, due to the fact that I’m already an (sensible) adult, I can no longer answer like that.. unless in front of my pig-dog friends where I can still be the silly goose with no image.

03
Walked all the way to the simpang entrance again just for Banh Mi!

04
Ate it while waiting to board in Tan Son Nhat airport…
Banh mi oh banh mi, I miss you so! Tell me when I can eat chu againnnnnnn!

Few hours later,

05
Haih! Can’t believe my very first meal in KL is Mak-tong-tong!

Was stuck in KL Sentral while waiting for Mr. Dreamteam to come pick us up. Seriously, never ever believe a KL-ians when he/she tells you “Very near one!”. Their “very near one” take minimum 30 minutes one!

Few times I kana that you know. For me, “very near one” is my house to Seria Plaza lah, or my house to PSL house. To FussyKelly house is already “not near” to me liao okay! The ultimate near one, of course my house to the Seria library lah. Hahahhaa. Near till you don’t believe ah!

Had a long first night in KL shopping in Midvalley. Met up with Alex the Seipokai and hang out like locals in those mamaks. No photos, too hyped up with all the xmas shopping and meeting old buddies.

Next day.

06
More shopping of course.

Bobby and I were on a shopping mission… we need to hunt xmas pressies for

1. each other (with a budget of only RM100 thinking that we shouldn’t spend so much, but in the end we found out it’s impossible hence to hell with the so-called budget!)

2. Yen Kai (a.k.a Mr. Dreamteam), my dear secondary classmate whom I bullied, openly admired my best friend for the longest year, now sendiri become boss and the kind person who let us stayed at his place, f.o.c of course. So this one must buy present one.

3. Tling (Mrs Dreamteam lor, cough cough), the beautiful hostess.

4. A gift to exchange for the xmas party/dinner later. More stories on that later.

07
Having a time-out from shopping.

08
Take one fail. Unknown girl’s butt in the way….

09
Ahhh.. much better.

10 11
Lunch.

12
Tea break

13 14

NO! THOSE BAOZ NOT NICE ONE!
Sibeh regret buying them.

15
Erm… early dinner?

(After so many days of eating Vietnamese + fast food, we super craved for home cooked meals okay!)

Then Bobby went off to buy my suppose-to-be-a-secret xmas gift.

16
while I stayed back and jaga our shoppings.

Super duper fail my baby!
He was super confident until he went to the counter and found out there’s actually two different package. And to avoid me being mad/disappointed, he thicken his face and called me up asking which was the one I was looking earlier on.

Major fail.
There, no more surprise for my xmas gift liao lor.

17
Some performance going on.
(Yes! We spent like 10 hours in Pavillion that day!)

18

Then Ah Kai called me up and told me the big bomb.

Here’s the xmas dinner/party story.

When Yen Kai came picked me up, he told me that Chin Kang invited us to his house on xmas eve for a xmas party. Hearing the word “party”, we assumed that there’ll be a lot of people attending including Chin Kang’s colleague, Esther’s colleagues and so on. But because Yen Kai already told Chin Kang they will be going, therefore leaving me no excuse to escape the party.

And we came up with all sort of alasan reasons or plan B, like… we’ll leave the place early and watch Avatar instead, or… we’ll go to the party late so we won’t get so bored.

The more embarrassing matter was, knowing that there might be a lot of strangers in the party and maybe I’ll get a shitty gift from some unknown person, I also put less effort in choosing the xmas gift. Sigh. Malu lah!

Then at about 7.15pm, Yen Kai called and told me…

“Eh… I think we made a mistake. The “party” will only have you, Bobby, me, Tling and Chin Kang and his wife….”

*Jaw dropped on the floor and use hand to put it back up*

This Mr. CYK bah! Chin Kang told him “Xmas dinner” and he keh-kiang translated it into “Xmas party".

The mystery was all solved when Yen Kai called Chin Kang up and told him we’ll be late for the “party” and said “you guys” to start it without us. And Chin Kang paused for awhile, asking… “Wait wait wait, You mean.. ask me and my wife eat first ah? There’s no “you guys”, only you and Tling, King and Bobby!”

What the fish to the max right?!

The dinner was set at 8pm.

Bobby and I were still in Pavillion at 7.30pm.

Took the monorail and arrived KL Sentral at about 8.00pm, waiting for Yen Kai and Tling to pick us up again (because KL Sentral is “near” to his office).

Had to stop by Sunway Pyramid because Yen Kai had to deliver some stock to his client and also do  the super last minute shopping for the gift exchange. They bought much better gift than us knowing it’s only ka-ki-lang.

…. traffic jam here and there….

Last last, we arrived Chin Kang’s place at….

10.00pm!!!!

Late for 2 hours! Imagine if I’m the host ah, sure dulan max and ask my guests no need to come liao. Dulan also dulan full already no need to eat liao.

19
The xmas snow   foam we experienced with the crowd just outside Pavillion.

20
Nice homey dinner awaiting for rude guests like us..
Seriously, we really don’t deserve such good meal lor.

We had risotto, baked chicken thighs, baked potatoes, some spicy chicken wings and Peach and Banana crumble! All prepared by Esther and Chin Kang. My idol okay!

21
Love the homey feel of their house.

22
Chin Kang the guy whom I secretly admired for 3 years when I was this dreamy teenager and his gorgeous wife.

23
The super good Peach and Banana crumble with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup.

By far, the best xmas dinner I ever had!
You know, secondary classmates reminiscing the past and laughing at all the silly things we ever done, catching up with the current news and good food…

*xing fu*

It was already almost 12am when we finished the fabulous dinner.

24
Chin Kang showing us the photos they took during their Bali trip and also Theen’s wedding.

The guy in Green with a cute santa hat was adopted. Hahhahahaa. No lah, Yen Kai found Ah-Fai when he was hanging around in Sunway Pyramid alone so invited him to the dinner as well lor. Also from Seria one last time.

25
Whisky (their pet dog) did this to my poor leggings.

26
Group photo
Everyone looks good in it!

27
Nah, this is Whisky! The culprit who scratched and caused a lubang on my legging.

IMG_0213
I have no idea why Yen Kai reaction big till like this…

IMG_0222
Gift exchange time!

Got back home at almost 3am, super tired but Bobby and I still insisted to give each other our xmas gift.

28
This is from me to him.
But he has not wear it till now…

Actually, all the baju I bought for him from my last Bangkok trip, he has not wear any of it also. Sigh… Bi, time to lose Nonnie okay!

29
Mine.

That Shiseido MAQuillAGE set was an expected gift.. but the other box, I totally didn’t know it was coming!

30

 32

As for the other box….

33
A GUESS travel wallet!

I’d always wanted a good looking travel wallet to act all cool when travelling. Wheee! Muacks muacks!

See what I meant by major fail by setting the budget?
The shirt I bought for Bobby is more than RM100. Needless to say, the make up set and wallet nearly hit RM500 bench mark.

Sigh…

Next day again.

34
Had lunch here.

35
Why so serious? Just a restaurant menu wor.

36
Bobby’s heaty and oily food. That guy memang cari pasal one.
Already complain sore throat and coughing those, still ordered this.

37
Mine. Slightly healthier eh I think?

Checked in Hotel Maya!

Super love the room…

38
Especially the pink chaise!

39
View from our window.

40
Transparent glass of the bathroom…

This part features Yen Kai’s photos…

a
I was hoping our room will be 1105, my birthday mah…
But 1106 can also lah.

b
As you can see clearly, no photoshop okay the photo!

c
There was a photo before this taken that I was peeking Bobby when he was using the bathroom. Hahhaha. The curtain was drawn from the outside one. So anytime can free show!

d
Kai discovered Bobby’s cuteness I think. Bobby had this innocent angelic (sikit-sikit ah-moi also) look in this photo.

Enough of us Chubbies.
Here’s some eye candies for you guys.

e
Tling, so good in posing.
She’s the director of our poses and Kai took those shots.
Very biasa already.

f

g
We seriously suck in posing, when others taking the camera.
I don’t know how to act natural, sibeh awkward and I can sense disaster when it comes to dunno-when-pre-wedding-photo shoot.

Walked to KLCC.

h
One of my fav. photo from Yen Kai.

i
Last one from them.
俊男美女, 无人能比!
Wah seh, it rhymes!

My photos again…

41
Nothing wow about this…

42 43
See what I mean about that innocent angelic look of Bobby?

44

Comparing all xmas deco, I think I like those in the Curve the most.

45
Bobby is a sucker for all fruit juice.

46
*sweat*
The price he’s willing to pay. Next time imma charge him also!

We also had NZ Natural ice cream, which was like.. RM12 for a cup…
Well, Bobby thought it’s all worth it. He’s the boss.

Had our last dinner in KL here.

47

The food was alright but Bobby was very dulan with the waitress there.

He asked for the bill and wanted to pay by using his credit card, then Tling quickly pulled out cash from her wallet. You know, the usual Chinese gig of fighting to foot the bill. The Chinese (from CHINA) waitress threw Bobby’s card on the table and took the cash instead. What the heck right? Damn rude to throw someone’s card and please la… never heard of the word “gentleman” meh? Of course is let the guy pay mah. Made till my baby sibeh awkward and dulan there.

48
View from our window… with the Petronas tower shimmering in the dark.

Next day, again…

49
Woke up at 7am just for a morning swim!

50
The hydro therapy pool comfortably heated to body temperature!
(You think we sial meh, swimming at icy cold pool early morning)

Out of nowhere, Bobby suddenly told me to take photos of him.

51
This first..

52
Then this…

Then, the next one cannot show you.
He was pulling this perverted stunt flashing me as he gets closer.
(still with his pants on of course)

53

Oh, this trip was my an anniversary gift from Bobby (he paid for the air tix and accommodation) where as my gift to him is a night in Hotel Maya. I guess it’s better than giving flowers, bags or jewelries. We have memories worth a lifetime.

54

55
Love the design of the all-in-one tv console.

56
The lobby.
Checking out from the hotel. Sniffs.

58
Petronas tower, again.. but this time…

57
with someone working on it.

Then

59
I iz Wandawuman.

60
He iz Silva Sufaaa

There, boarded on the plane.
Reached Miri, then Brunei and….

61

That’s the end of our trip in 2009.

But, trips in 2010 awaiting us!

Muahahhahahaa.
